Brooke Williams

Founder and Director

Fourfold Studio founder Brooke is an expert in facilitating human centred solutions to complex urban issues and economic renewal.

Brooke is a highly sought-after industry thought-leader and innovator in curating vibrant, self-sustaining cities and has the knowledge to make it happen. She aligns the internal systems of clients with the local knowledge of the end users, developing alternative governance models to build sustainable activity.

With over 14 years industry experience, Brooke has been an active champion of the placemaking movement. Her extensive list of achievements includes launching CoDesign Studio’s Queensland office, co-founding UR{BNE} Collective, co-host of Australia’s first Diner en Blanc, and current member of Brisbane City Council’s Independent Design Advisory Panel.

Harriet McKindlay

Associate Director

Harriet is an expert in locally-led placemaking bringing community and stakeholders into the design process to enable greater social impact.

Harriet is an Urban Planner with extensive experience in community and stakeholder engagement delivered both digitally and in-person. She is well known for facilitating high-energy workshops that encourage dynamic collaboration between participants. Her strength in placemaking strategy, includes the development of Place Plans in partnership with the local knowledge holders, comprising the community, stakeholders and decision makers. She excels in project management and best practice delivery. In 2020 she co-founded Placemaking Action Week, a global movement encouraging placemaking action to foster community connection.

Michaela Lennon

Senior Placemaking Consultant

Delivering impact through locally-led events, activations and small-scale projects.

A leader in event management, Michaela brings a unique skillset and perspective to the Fourfold team. She has extensive experience on projects of a range of scales from mega-events through to grass-roots community projects, all focused on engaging and connecting people to their local places. Her experience includes the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Her outcome driven approach ensures the delivery of events with a difference, leaving a self-sustaining legacy for Michaela’s clients and their communities.

Caitlyn Mulcahy

Placemaking Consultant

A fresh face in the placemaking space, Caitlyn applies current research to real world actions.

Currently completing her Bachelor of Urban Development majoring in Urban and Regional Planning, Caitlyn is interested in how places can adapt to current needs for accessibility and sustainable design. Her high level of detail, creative problem solving, and communication skills contribute to contemporary place strategies, activation events and community engagement. Caitlyn was a Student Ambassador for the QUT STEM ‘PlanDesignBuild’ and involved in the QUT FutureYouSTEM Summit for Year 11 students.  Encouraging and including local people to actively participate in the city making process is central to her work.

Liz du Plessis

Placemaking Consultant

Strategic thinking and a passion for locally-led action.

With a background in brand strategy, graphic design, digital design and marketing Liz has a passion for strategy, creativity and engagement. She loves connecting with communities and stakeholders to conceptualise and execute successful human-centred placemaking. Liz loves to find bespoke solutions that resonate and help people to feel a sense of ownership and connection with their communities, spaces and places.

After studying project management she developed a love for planning and executing high-quality projects. Her work at Fourfold allows her to bring together all of her diverse skill sets.

Georgia Bergin

Junior Placemaking Consultant

As an earnest young planner, Georgia is enthusiastic about connecting communities to place through authentic engagement.

Georgia is a keen student planner who is undertaking her fourth and final year of a Bachelor of Urban Development (Honours) (Urban and Regional Planning) degree. Fascinated by the principles of placemaking and human behaviour, Georgia is passionate about utilising the built environment to promote social and physical wellbeing. Her combined love for big-picture thinking, public speaking, and collaborating with others has primed Georgia for her role as a placemaking consultant here at Fourfold Studio.
